FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND POLICIES:

Is Paypal the only method of payment you offer?

Answer: Paypal is our preferred method of payment. You do not need to have a PayPal account set up in order to pay by credit or debit card. The advantage of going through Paypal is that we never see your credit card or banking information, we do not need to maintain that on file. Paypal is secure, trusted, and free for many of our customers to use. Please see the Paypal web site for more information. We also happily accept checks, cash (if you are local to us - you should never mail cash), and occasionally even accept bartering for services.

Are there any setup fees or additional charges I can expect?

Answer: We charge a monthly hosting fee, there are no setup fees, or late charges, etc.

  • If you would like to purchase a domain name for your web site, we can assist you with that, and generally a domain can run in the range of $6-$11 a year. Domains are generally renewed on an annual basis. We will help you purchase your domain at cost, and it is registered to you, not to us, so you have complete control over your domain name.
  • If you want us to move your web site for you from your existing web host, we will do that at no additional charge.
  • If you need us to design a brand new site for you or create a whole web site's worth of content for you, that is an additional charge. We work with responsible, reliable and creative web designers who can provide you with price quotes. If you just need an existing site to be spruced up a bit, we do not charge for that. It will depend on the amount of work that needs to be done. Additionally, our hosting package has many templates you can use to create a new site (or a new, refreshed look to your existing site). We also have a SiteBuilder you can use to create a site with. Anything we would charge you for, we would discuss with you in full and come to an agreed upon price. There will never be any surprises from us.

What happens if I need help with my website?

Answer: We will transfer, monitor, and backup your web site for free. We will also assist with guidance and helping you to update it. If you run into a problem, we will work with our technical support team to find the answer to your problem and guide you through the steps to correct it. If you want a whole site designed, we work with several qualified web designers who can give you a unique professional design, and they can provide you with a quote for pricing and the time for completion. If you want to use our templates or SiteBuilder to create your own site, you can do that for free. If you need minor monthly edits to your site, or minor changes on a routine basis, we do that for free.

What happens if I cannot pay my bill?

Answer: We can work with almost anyone and we understand that occasionally situations arise that make paying your bills difficult. With that said, without prying into your financial affairs, you do need to let us know if you cannot pay your hosting bill when due. Often, we are able to work out something with you. We just do not shut off your account if you do not pay your bill within a certain amount of days past due. We would apprecaite it if you would contact us and advise us of any difficulty, and when we can expect to receive payment. Are there any discounts available?

Answer: We offer a number of ways to keep your costs down with us:

  • If you choose to pay your bill for the year in advance, you get one (1) month free;
  • If you are a web designer hosting your sites with us, you get the hosting at a reduced rate, the more sites, the greater the savings (not all designers qualify - please call Nora at 617-775-0868 for more details);
  • You can become an affiliate, and for each new hosting account with us you can earn $3.00 (USD) per month, that can be deducted from your monthly hosting bill, or paid directly to you via PayPal (not everyone can be an affiliate, we have strict guidelines and policies in place);
  • Also each quarter, we review all sites for bandwidth and disk space usage, and if your site uses a lesser amount we may (at our discretion) offer you a reduced price for your monthly hosting with us; and
  • Last, but certainly not least, our long-term clients receive the month of December free. This is a token of our appreciation, and our way of saying thank you for doing business with us that year.

NTarr & Associates does not collect or disseminate your personal information to any other organization, other than those directly associated with our business. For example, we may share some information in order to register a domain for you, or to solicit quotes from web designers, and programmers, etc. This is only done with your explicit permission.

We do not accept nor do we maintain any credit card or banking information for you or related to you. All financial transactions are handled through PayPal or through routine banking policies (i.e. depositing your check, etc.).

We do not under any circumstances do business with sites that would promote hate or violence towards any individual, group, or group of individuals.

We choose not to host pornographic content on our sites. This is not to be construed that we believe you do not have a right to view such content. This does not prohibit nudity in some cases, as nudity may be considered a significant part of the artistic message of a web site. We choose not to host sites that display sexual activity or nudity suggesting sexual activity, and this does include any such activity or nudity used in advertising or promotional efforts. Sites with nudity are reviewed carefully prior to being accepted. In any case, no site with children or underage individuals engaged in any form of nudity, sexual poses, activities, or the impression of sexual activity is considered acceptable under our policy. We make no judgment, but prefer to not host such material on our sites.

We are a private business, however, with a public audience. We use our best effort to make prudent business decisions, and as such do not accept all sites for hosting. While we make no judgments, we may from time to time refuse to host a web site that we are not comfortable with. Please do not take any offense if your site is not accepted.

Any site found to be engaged in any type of illegal, fraudulent or otherwise deceptive business or trade practice will be shut down immediately. When requested by subpoena we will provide any and all copies of backups of your site. We believe that any individual is innocent until proven guilty, however, while the matter is being investigated, your site will be temporarily suspended. You will not be billed for hosting if your site is involuntarily suspended.
